Sonshine Classroom

At Sonshine, we consider it a privilege and responsibility to serve our community.   We offer a quality preschool program designed to prepare your child for kindergarten or first grade.  Parents whose children attended kindergarten at Sonshine have reported their child is well prepared and often well ahead of the rest of their class, especially in reading and writing.

Our trained, certified, and dedicated teaching staff uses the ‘A Beka’ curriculum, which includes Bible stories, language development, math, phonics, reading, music, art, crafts and social skills.  Children are encouraged to nurture the abilities God has given them through a variety of interactive, “hands-on”, developmental activities.  The teaching time is balanced by a variety of indoor and outdoor play and memorable field trips.

Our goals for each child:

• To develop a positive attitude toward learning, school, him or herself, and others.
• Help him or her develop spiritually to know Jesus as their Savior.
• To be prepared socially and academically for kindergarten or first grade
• To have a positive, happy and memorable first experience at school.
